MSPaintNerd's Public Domain Music
This page is dedicated to the distribution of public domain (i.e. free) music. Since virtually all real audio is copyrighted (only audio prior to 1923 is not), just about all the music on this site is classical. Anything that Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Haydn, Handel, Schubert, Vivaldi, and almost any other well known classical composer wrote is now in the public domain. Just because the music they wrote is in public domain does not mean the Mozart symphony you hear on the radio is in public domain (whoever played the symphony owns the copyright). Only the music that you have performed yourself or purchased the license to is legal to distribute. Though I don't fully waive my intellectual rights to these pieces (and since I play some of them and transcribe ALL of them, I do have rights to them), don't worry about me suing you for copyright infringement. In fact I encourage you to download the mp3's and look at the PDF files so you can play them yourself. I hope this collection of music helps you out. Enjoy!!
